The Star Trek Tarot
A TOS Deck

The Star Trek Tarot is a 78-card tarot deck based on the original 1960s Star Trek television series. The cards are high quality [320 GSM], large-format [3.5” x 5.75”], and come in a rigid 2-piece tailor-made box. The deck is accompanied by a 300-page companion key which, unlike a standard LWB, is a full-size 6x9 trade paper book. Each card is based on an episode of Star Trek TOS [The Original Series] – all 78 of the original storylines featuring Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy, and Mr. Spock. The Star Trek Tarot companion key includes in-depth information about each episode and detailed, behind-the-scenes information about the making of the series. The deck follows the traditional meanings of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, to facilitate easy readings for those familiar with the RWS.

Each suit of The Star Trek Tarot is colour-coded, corresponding to the four Federation starship divisions: Operations, Medical, Sciences, and Command.

​

The traditional, quasi-medieval court card allocations of Page, Knight, Queen, & King have little meaning in the 23rd Century. They have been replaced with a recurring crew member, alien antagonist, female guest star, and chief officer respectively, making Montgomery Scott, Leonard McCoy, Spock,& James Kirk the “kings” of their respective suits.
